We had a beloved Old English Sheepdog. His name was Chaucer and he had arthritis. He was in great pain and so were we.

A friend told us about the  power of healing copper to cure rheumatism. We didn’t see how putting a piece of healing copper on Chaucer could hurt him, so we went to the hardware store and bought a long piece of copper. We fashioned a collar from the length of copper strip and we tied it round Chaucer’s neck with a piece of string threaded through a hole at each end of the strip. We were thoroughly modern yuppies and we knew this so called cure wouldn’t work but we wanted to try anything that would help our precious friend.

About two weeks later Chaucer stopped whining when we lifted him to his feet. At first I thought he was still asleep when I hoisted him up, but his eyes were open and he stood alone and shaky. Well, I thought this was some sort of coincidence. Then he turned up his nose at the oatmeal I had prepared. Since he got sick, he wouldn’t eat anything chewy, so I’d been giving him liquidized food. He barked very crossly at me.

To make a long story short, that was the beginning of Chaucer’s new life. His pain went away. He lost his short temper. He began to frolic with the children again. I was absolutely stunned. Could this stuff cure arthritis?

My husband and I got all the literature we could find. We found people who could make actual healing copper bracelets. We started selling them. Then someone wanted a healing copper bracelet that didn’t look like a copper bracelet, so we started experimenting with 22K gold and pure thermal copper. We sell it all over the world and our walls are papered with beautiful letters from our friends, some of whom have been wearing their Dealon healing copper Bracelet for more than twenty years. Our most precious customer wore his bracelet from 1976 till his recent death. He was ninety four and he was our treasure.

In 1981, the New York Times did a piece on us and our product. That was the beginning of our love affair with the United States. Now, we sell 99% of our bracelets here and we do it all through the Internet.

We love to get feedback from our customers. Our old timers use us a an Irish advice column. We give advice on when to go to Ireland and where to stay; what restaurants and pubs are “in” and which are no longer fashionable; who’s in town right now and where can I see him or her? We answer them all and they send us photos of their trip. And through it all, we send out our Dealon healing copper Bracelet and it is worn and loved by all those who receive it . We never relax our standards; each piece goes through seven quality control checks and we are so grateful to everyone who tells us their experiences with our product. We’ve been here thirty-four years now and we’re looking forward to the next thirty-four!
